We arrived in Porto and secured our camp site by 1.30 then set off for an initial explore of the town. Uber here is very cheap with a 20 minute ride costing only 6 E so that’s the way to travel.

We were dropped off at the Luis 1 bridge so we could do the iconic walk and then have a look at the old town of Porto. We promised ourselves no churches or cathedrals today so giving you a break as well. Not much commentary from here. Just enjoy the sights of this beautiful city.

Competition for the bridge is huge, and the trams want their space as well.

This is a stunning city. Everywhere you turn there is another beautiful building.

Livraria Bookshop, the home of the Harry Potter library and staircase. There was a line up to get in stretching 100 m. I was allowed to take a photo from the front door without a ticket.

I was almost tempted.

This place sells sardines in a tin. However you can buy the tin labeled with your year of birth. If your year comes up on the spinning wheel its free.

Dinner was salted cod for Collette and beef with port wine sauce (Porto port of course). Both dishes exceptional.

This shop was more of a light show.

Porto gets about 10,000 tourists per day in August. I reckon they were all out with us today.

Tomorrow more Porto though probably from inside as there is rain forecast.
