A glorious day for our last day in Porto, sunny and warm. We had booked a six bridge river cruise and it was a great way to start the day.

Always a worry when the deck hand wears a life jacket but we don’t.

Quite a big rowing club in the dock area. They have quite some competition for use of the river.

It’s a hilly country. Not enough of these around.

Port wine bond stores. Nearly all of it is in storage here.

“The Fantastic World of the Portuguese Sardine”. Just one of many tourist traps on Port Street. We already paid 9.50 E for 2 coffees that normally cost 4 E.

And a top flight tasting for 13 E. The two white ports I had not had before and they were delicious.

French toast with a Majestic tawny port. This was a beautiful building holding a fabulous restaurant. Not cheap but a great experience.

Machine embroidery on an apron. He was very fast, controlling the machine direction with a lever under the machine.

Finally a walk along the beach back to the van. This patrolled beach was particularly un appealing with the rocks and seaweed.
