I have finally worked out why I love being in Europe compared to North America. It came to me as I was sitting in this square in Poznan, having a beer, and watching the world go by in a gorgeous setting.
It is doing just that in Europe and no one bothers to take the time to do it in North America ( some isolated spots in New York and San Francisco excepted.) It is the taking of time to enjoy life that makes Europe special.

9.5% no less, delicious and chewy.
Today we explored the main square, this time in daylight.

The Parish Church of St. Stanislaus is not much to look at from the outside but very special inside. The church was built in the 17th C.

Having a wander outside the old town we came upon a large and uniquely styled shopping centre. Naturally we explored it some.

The shopping centre was originally a large brewery that was converted by the owners wife after it was shut down. At least it makes the shopping a little more interesting.
It was another hot day, supposedly the last for this summer, and the locals were enjoying the heat in the park next door.

We are off to Krakow tonight for the weekend with Bartek and Laura. Taking the train this time to save the 5+ hours drive.
